German Bike Highway connects 10 Cities. Germany’s bicycle Highway will to provide over 100km miles of car-free bike travel when it is completed. The route will connect 10 western cities including Duisburg, Bochum, and Hamm as well as four universities.

UPS launches cargo e-bike delivery in Seattle

UPS has partnered with the Seattle Department of Transportation and University of Washington to make deliveries using electric-assist cargo bikes in downtown Seattle. During the year-long pilot, UPS will deliver packages in Pike Place Market and the surrounding neighborhood using the bikes. If the pilot is successful, UPS will expand its cargo e-bike delivery service to other parts of Seattle.

Ontario investing $93 million in cycling!

Ontario is making it safer and more convenient for people to get around by bike, by more than doubling its investment in local cycling to build bike lanes and other cycling infrastructure in towns and cities across the province. This investment is part of Ontario’s Climate Change Action Plan and is funded by proceeds from the province’s cap on pollution and carbon market.

UPS To Launch eBike In Fort Lauderdale, Florida

UPS has announced the launch of an eBike that will deliver packages along Las Olas Boulevard and in surrounding neighborhoods in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The electrically-assisted tricycle supports Fort Lauderdale’s Green Your Routine program, geared toward achieving the city’s sustainability goals, and, Vision Zero Fort Lauderdale, a citywide initiative to create safer streets for everyone. UPS’s Cycle Solutions will help reduce carbon emissions and noise, as well as improve traffic congestion and air quality in the city’s downtown corridor.

Recycled Tire Art

Recycled materials artist Blake McFarland uses recycled rubber tires to create amazing life-like sculptures of tire animals. Each Sculpture uses strategically placed tires which are woven and secured, creating amazing muscle-like definition of the animals. Each recycled tire sculpture takes around one month to complete and has amazingly detailed features. Blake McFarland loves being able to be eco-friendly by using 100% recycled tires to make his distinctive tire sculpture art.
